• Large parts of the country have been recording higher temperatures than normal since March and as per India Meteorological Department (IMD), a heatwave spell will continue to persist for the next five days.

As a large part of India swelters under the grip of a scorching heatwave, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that it will intensify over the next five days. It has issued an “orange” alert for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and parts of Maharashtra, and predicted a rise of another two degrees Celsius in the northwest region.
