Here’s how to do web check-in for IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, Vistara and GoAir

The coronavirus pandemic started spreading in March in India, and the ensuing lockdown brought travel to a halt in the initial few months. Airlines bore the brunt of this move as they had to halt operations for that period. States began unlocking gradually to revive businesses and the economy, but the travel industry is still seeing signs of pessimism as people remain cautious about air travel.

Airlines are following a whole list of standard operating procedures to ensure the safety of the travellers that follow the government guidelines. India also made it mandatory for travellers, whether domestic or international, to check-in at least 48 hours before they travel.

In this article, we list out the procedure to perform web check-in for various Indian airlines.

Here’s how to do web check-in for IndiGo flights:
  • Visit IndiGo’s check-in page here.
  • Now enter your details such as booking reference/PNR and your email/ last name.
  • Now once you hit ‘check in’, you will have all the seats listed in front of you that are booked with the same PNR.
  • You will then have the option to change the seats and your meal details. However, depending on airlines' discretion, for some seats you will have to pay an additional charge.
  • Once you have completed the check-in process, the airline will issue an eBoarding pass for each passenger.
Here’s how to do web check-in for SpiceJet flights:
  • Visit SpiceJet’s check-in page here.
  • Now enter your details on the website such as PNR and your email/ last name.
  • Now once you hit ‘Begin check in’, you will have all the seats listed in front of you that are booked with the same PNR.
  • You will then have the option to change the seats and your meal details. However, depending on airlines' discretion, for some seats you will have to pay an additional charge.
  • Once you have completed the check-in process, the airline will issue an eBoarding pass for each passenger.
Here’s how to do web check-in for Vistara flights:
  • Visit Vistara’s website here.
  • Under the ‘Booking’ tab, there’s a check-in option.
  • Now enter your details on the website such as booking reference number and your last name.
  • Now once you hit ‘check in’, you will have all the seats listed in front of you that are booked with the same PNR.
  • You will then have the option to change the seats and your meal details. However, depending on airlines' discretion, for some seats you will have to pay an additional charge.
  • Once you have completed the check-in process, the airline will issue an eBoarding pass for each passenger.
Here’s how to do web check-in for GoAir flights:
  • Visit the GoAir check-in page here.
  • Now enter your details on the website such as PNR and your email/ last name.
  • You will have to confirm that you are not carrying restricted articles in hand or check-in baggage. And, a list of all restricted articles can be found here.
  • Now once you hit ‘begin check in’, you will have all the seats listed in front of you that are booked with the same PNR.
  • You will then have the option to change the seats and your meal details. However, depending on airlines' discretion, for some seats you will have to pay an additional charge.
  • Once you have completed the check-in process, the airline will issue an eBoarding pass for each passenger.
Here’s how to do web check-in for Air India flights:
  • Visit the Air India check-in page here.
  • Now enter your details on the website such as PNR, your last name and Captcha.
  • Now once you hit ‘search’, you will have all the seats listed in front of you that are booked with the same PNR.
  • You will then have the option to change the seats and your meal details.However, depending on airlines' discretion, for some seats you will have to pay an additional charge.
  • Once you have completed the check-in process, the airline will issue an eBoarding pass for each passenger.
