Goa has reported seven new cases of COVID-19 during rapid testing on May 14, said health minister Vishwajit Rane. It was among the list of handful states which have declared itself a green zone — a coronavirus free place — earlier this month. Whereas, one of them was a truck driver who arrived from Gujarat on May 11.
"All these seven cases are imported from other states. They are not from Goa," the chief minister said adding that local people should still take all the precautions and strictly adhere to lockdown guidelines.
The families of all the six individuals were quarantined immediately after their arrival. Moreover, the health authorities have also quarantined all the people who came in contact with the truck driver.
