The daily COVID-19 bulletin of Gautam Buddh Nagar showed the number of deaths due to coronavirus at 18, up from 16 on Thursday but did not share any other detail about the deceased.

Apart from two locals, two more patients, who were residents of Delhi and tested positive for COVID-19, also died. However, the authorities have sent their names for inclusion in the data of their respective districts in Delhi.

Elaborating about the death of the two non-locals, District Surveillance Officer Sunil Dohare said, two more patients, who tested positive for COVID-19, died on Friday in Gautam Buddh Nagar. One of them was a 77-year-old man from Sukhdev Vihar in Delhi, while the other was a 24-year-old woman from Vikaspuri, Delhi, he said.

Since they were non-locals, their cases have been sent to their districts for inclusion in Delhi's data, he added.
