Fresh case of COVID-19 in Nagaland, total rises to 128

Kohima, Jun 10 () A person tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases in the state to 128, Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.

Four patients also recovered during the day, bringing down the number of active cases to 114, officials said.

Of the 273 samples tested in the last 24 hours, one was found to be positive, Phom said, adding that the new patient was lodged at the Kohima quarantine centre.

State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Program Nyan Kikon said that four patients undergoing treatment at the Dimapur district COVID-19 hospital have recovered.

All the cases were detected among those who returned to the state from other parts of the country, he said.

Dimapur has recorded the highest number of cases at 100, and of them, 12 have recovered. Kohima reported 22 cases and two people have recovered, Tuensang has five cases and one case was detected in Peren district. NBS SOM SOM
