US President Donald Trump is on his first official visit to India along with First Lady Melania Trump and security in India has been heightened while preparations have been on for over a month. Accompanying him are his daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner.

American Secret Service team has been in India for a month
President Trump’s security is handled by the American Secret Service and a team has been in India for a month looking into the security arrangements for his visit.
IAF took over the skies of Ahmedabad
Trump landed in Ahmedabad and visited Sabarmati Ashram after which he visited the world’s largest cricket stadium – Motera Stadium. During his Ahmedabad visit, the Indian Air Force patrolled the skies of the city.
12,000 security personnel on ground – including Chetak Commando
Trump was in Ahmedabad for just about three hours, but during the time, over 12,000 security personnel were stationed on ground. Chetak Commando from the Gujarat police force, along with Rapid Action Force too were deployed for the security of the US President.
DRDO’s anti-drone system
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) had deployed an anti-drone system. The system can neutralise any drone that may intrude into the designated security zone of Trump.
Bulletproof windows
The US President will be staying in the ultra luxurious Chanakya - Grand Presidential Suite of ITC Maurya in Delhi. The suite is reported to cost ₹8 lakh per night and comes with a host of features that define luxury. The suite which offers a Presidential parking boulevard, also has its own exclusive private entrance, a private high speed elevator and state-of-the-art security systems. The glasses on the windows are bullet-proof.
Langurs on the prowl
According to an IANS report, for the President and his family’s Agra visit, five langurs (long-tailed monkeys native to Asia) have been deployed to scare off the smaller monkeys. The city is known for its many monkeys that trouble tourists but the government is ensuring that no untoward incidents startle the Trumps as they spend time at the Taj Mahal.
