Dakshina Kannada records 17th COVID-19 positive case

Mangaluru, Apr 23 () A 75-year-old woman fromBantwal and a relative of the woman, who died of COVID-19 hereon April 19, tested positive for the virus on Thursday,official sources said.

This is the 17th positive case reported in DakshinaKannada district.

The woman, who was being treated at a privatehospital after she suffered a stroke on April 18, has beenshifted to the intensive care unit of the designated COVID-19Wenlock hospital after her swab test turned out to be positivefor the virus.

Another woman, 67, who is the immediate neighbourof the deceased, had also tested positive and is undertreatment here.

Four people with coronavirus infection are currentlyunder treatment at the Wenlock hospital.

Earlier, 12 patients were discharged after recoveryand one woman died of the infection. MVG BNWELCOME BNWELCOME
