Cyclone Nisarga to weaken late evening, flight operations at Mumbai airport to resume at 6pm

Cyclone Nisarga, hovering over the Arabian Sea 190 km from Mumbai, made landfall at the coastal town Alibaug near Mumbai. Over a lakh people were evacuated from coastal regions in Maharashtra and Gujarat due to the cyclone. The cyclone may cause major damage to kutcha houses and huts. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray believes the cyclone is much more severe than what other states have faced till now.
