Coronavirus cases in India mounted to 9,152, as of Monday (April 13), according to the data available on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare website.

Of these 7,987 are active cases, 857 individuals have been cured and discharged from the hospital, and one person has migrated. The total number of deaths recorded till Monday (April 13) stood at 308. The numbers include 71 foreign nationals affected by the disease.

"At least 909 new cases and 34 deaths have been recorded in 24 hours. The good news is that 74 people have been cured in the last 24 hours," Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary of Union Health Ministry, said on April 12.

Maharashtra remained the worst hit with a total of 1,985 cases and 149 deaths while at least 217 people have recovered from the disease. There are a total of 1,154 cases, and 24 deaths in the national capital and 27 people have been cured. Tamil Nadu has recorded 1,043 cases and 11 deaths while 50 people have recovered from the disease.

Fatehpur Sikri sealed, cases in Taj city reach 135

Even as the Agra model of containment of COVID-19, has been widely applauded, the number of infected persons has gone up to 135. Thirty-one new positive cases were reported in the city on late Sunday (April 12) evening, of which 26 cases were from Fatehpur Sikri.

The district authorities have sealed Fatehpur Sikri, and the health department was screening people. The other cases were from a local nursing home.

Three more coronavirus patients recover in Himachal Pradesh

Three more COVID-19 patients recovered in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday (April 12), a health official said.

Three of the four patients from Chamba's Tissa, who tested positive for coronavirus on April 6, have recovered, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) R D Dhiman said.

Out of the total 33 COVID-19 patients in the state, 12 — three each from Chamba, Kangra, Una and Solan districts — have recovered.

Now, a total of 15 active cases, including 13 Tablighi Jamaat members and two paramedics from a private hospital, are under treatment in the state.

Gujarat positive cases climb to 516- death toll at 24

Gujarat crossed the 500-mark on Sunday (April 12) as 48 positive cases were found during the day with coronavirus penetrating areas outside hotspots, taking the total positive cases in the state to 516 with 24 deaths.

Twenty-three more cases were detected in Gujarat by Sunday (April 12) evening and one death, on top of the 25 registered in the morning.

Ahmedabad had 16 cases, Vadodara 6 and one patient was from Anand.

Andhra Pradesh sees 66% rise in one week

With 15 fresh cases reported by Sunday (April 12) evening, Andhra Pradesh's COVID-19 tally reached 420 on day 19 of the national lockdown. The state nodal officer said that the findings are obtained from the results of tests conducted between 9 pm on Saturday and 6 pm on Sunday (April 12).

On Sunday (April 12) evening, Guntur district reported the highest number of 11 coronavirus cases in the state. Four cases were reported from Nellore, and 2 cases were reported from Kurnool, while Chittoor and Kadapa districts reported 1 case each.

A comparison of this weekend's tally with the data from last week indicates that Andhra Pradesh has witnessed a 66% rise in COVID-19 cases during the week. On Sunday, April 5, the state's overall tally stood at 252 cases, whereas the tally on Sunday, April 12 stands at 420.

Odd-Even at Delhi's Azadpur Mandi from Monday (April 13)

To implement social distancing amid the fear of coronavirus spread, Delhi's busy Azadpur Mandi will now have separate timing for vegetables and fruits, with Odd-Even scheme implemented for stall numbers.

According to Adil Ahmad Khan, chairman of the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC), Azadpur Mandi, the stalls with even numbers will operate on even dates while those with odd numbers will operate on odd dates.

Delhi CM Kejriwal announces relief package for poor people

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday (April 12) said the government would initiate the process of providing relief assistance to gramin and 'phatphat sewa' drivers, taxi drivers and auto-rickshaw drivers from Monday (April 13).

Addressing the media, Kejriwal said the government is taking all measures for the security of the most vulnerable and poorest sections of society.

"We are providing food for these people. Around 71 lakh beneficiaries are provided ration and 23 lakh beneficiaries, who do not have ration cards, have applied, and they will also be provided ration through our schools," he said, listing the welfare schemes of the government.

Kejriwal said the construction workers were provided ₹5,000 as relief assistance.

Delhi to sanitise high-risk, containment zones using Japanese machines

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced a massive sanitisation drive across the city with a focus on COVID-19 high-risk and containment zones using Japanese-made machines.

The containment zones, declared as 'Red Zones', and the high-risk zones, declared as 'Orange Zones', will be sanitised from Monday (April 13), he said.

"We have seen a considerable rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi in the last few days. We are taking all measures possible to control the crisis. I am sure that our strategy to control the crisis will be successful," Kejriwal said.

"We have procured ten Japanese high-tech machines for sanitisation from PI industries free of cost. One machine can sanitise 20,000 sq/m in one hour. Along with this, 50 small machines will be procured from the DJB. From Monday, a massive sanitisation program will be carried out in red and orange zones in Delhi."
