38 year old from Bihar is India’s youngest victim
A 38 year old man from Bihar passed away on Sunday (March 22) making him the state’s first victim. He hails from Munger district and was admitted to Patna-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday for kidney ailments after returning from Qatar.
During dialysis, doctors noticed that he was suffering from severe respiratory issues, following which his swab samples were sent for medical examination, revealing the condition.
Delhi’s victim had a relative who travelled to Europe
In Delhi, a 68-year-old woman died on March 13. The death was caused due to comorbidity caused by diabetes and hypertension, the officials from the health ministry said. The woman's son recently returned from Europe, and tested positive for the virus.
Gujarat’s victim had other medical complications too
A 69 year old man died in Surat on March 22, making him Gujarat’s first Covid-19 victim. He was also diagnosed with co-morbid conditions and had other medical complications too, the officials said. He had no history of travelling abroad.

Karnataka’s victim had travelled to Saudi
The 76 year old man from Karnataka was also India’s first victim of the virus to pass away on March 12. The man who hails from Kalaburagi district had returned from Saudi Arabia on February 29.
One of Maharashtra’s victims was suffering from diabetes, high BP
The first victim in Maharashtra was a 64-year-old man with a history in Dubai. He passed away in Mumbai at Hinduja Hospital on March 17.
The second victim was a 63-year-old man who also died in Mumbai. The health ministry said that the patient had a chronic history of diabetes, high blood pressure and ischemic heart disease. He also developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) due to Coronavirus leading to death.
Punjabi man who died of heart attack also had Covid-19
The victim from Punjab was a 70-year-old man who returned from Germany via Italy. He died in hospital after severe chest pain and was later found to be positive for Coronavirus. He passed away at a civil hospital at Banga in Punjab's Hoshiarpur.
Himachal Pradesh’s 68 year old victim travelled to USA
The hilly state’s victim was a 68-year old man from Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. He travelled from the US to Delhi, before reaching Kangra.
West Bengal’s victim hailed from Corona-hit Italy
A 57-year-old resident of Dum Dum, Kolkata died on March 23 in Kolkata. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee confirmed the death during an all-party meeting. She said the patient had a travel history to Italy and that his family lives there.
