Coronavirus: APPSC postpones Combined Competitive Exam 2020

Itanagar, Apr 22 () The Arunachal Pradesh PublicService Commission (APPSC) has decided to postpone thepreliminary and mains examinations of the Combined CompetitiveExamination which were scheduled for May and October.

An APPSC statement said that the examinations havebeen postponed until further notice.

The decision was taken as a precautionary measure tocontain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, the statement fromAPPSC secretary A R Talwade said here.

While the preliminary examination was scheduled forMay 17, the mains were to be held between October 9 andOctober 17.

The commission has also decided to provide thecandidates one more opportunity for filling the onlineapplication forms who are interested in applying for the postsof junior engineer (civil) under the Rural Works Departmentand senior personal assistant under the civil secretariat andAPPSC.

The commission in a statement said the date forfilling the forms would be notified in due course of time.

Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh State ElectionCommissioner Hage Kojeen has volunteered to contribute 30 percent of his gross monthly salary to the Chief Minister'sRelief Fund to help the government in combating the novelcoronavirus.

Kojeen also appealed to all like-minded people tocome forward and contribute as per one's capacity tostrengthen the hands of the state government during thiscrisis.

Lauding the efforts of the state government andfrontline warriors like the police and other securitypersonnel, healthcare workers and those of other essentialservices, the commissioner urged the people to adhere to theguidelines issued by the government during the lockdownperiod. UPLMM MM
