Complain if schools demand fees during lockdown: Maha minister

Mumbai, Apr 17 () Parents can complain to districteducation officers if schools demanded fees during lockdownperiod, Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwadsaid on Friday.

In a statement, Gaikwad said the government had issuedan order on March 30 that schools and other educationalinstitutions should not demand fees during lockdown.

The directive said that they can start fee collectionafter the lockdown is lifted, she pointed out.

"I have got complaints that demand for fees is stillbeing made and parents are being pressurized to pay fees noweven though the lockdown period is till May 3," the ministersaid.

"Parents can complain about this to the districteducation officer who will ensure implementation of theorder," she added. MRKRK KRK
