The six Malaysians had come to Hyderabad on touristvisas last month and later went to New Delhi and attended theTablighi Jamaat religious meeting there, and travelled backto the city but did not inform the local authorities abouttheir stay here.
Based on information, a police team shifted them tothe state-run Gandhi Hospital here for quarantine around oneweek ago and their medical test reports were pending,theysaid.
The Telangana government had earlier asked the personswho attended the religious gathering to voluntarily comeforward and report to the officials.
The government also said it would be arrange forconducting tests for them and provide them with freetreatment after at least six people, who attended thecongregation last month, died in the state due to thecoronavirus infection.
"The six Malaysians did not share information abouttheir stay in Hyderabad and were booked under relevant IPCsections, the Epidemic Diseases Act, Disaster Management Actand Foreigners Act and for violating tourist visa norms", apolice official told .
On Monday, a case was registered against 10Indonesians, who had attended the Tablighi Jamat congregationin Delhi last month and visited Karimnagar district andsubsequently tested positive for coronavirus for allegednegligence and disobedience to the order issued by a publicservant. VVKNVG NVG
