Burglars strike at Coronavirus patient's abandoned home in Kashmir

Srinagar, Burglars struck at the abandoned home of a COVID-19 patient during the night and decamped with Rs three lakh in Kashmir's Bandipora district.

Police sources said burglars struck at the abandoned house of the COVID-19 patient in the Sadarkote area of the district during the night.

"The house had been abandoned by all the family members who are undergoing quarantine after one member of the family members tested positive.

"Burglars have reportedly stolen Rs three lakh and some valuables. An FIR has been registered in the incident," police sources said.

This is the first incident in Kashmir in which burglars took advantage of the global tragedy to strike at the abandoned house of a virus victim.
