According to the police, the incident occurred on Wednesday night when Saadma, the wife of Javed, was shot in the stomach. It all began when Zeeshan, Javed's older brother, generously brought pizzas home for the entire family. He distributed them amongst his family, making sure everyone, including Saadma, got a share. But what was intended to be a simple meal turned into a family drama.
Zeeshan's wife, Saadiya, allegedly took issue with her husband sharing food with Saadma. Apparently, the mere act of pizza distribution stirred up an ongoing dispute between the two women. That evening, Saadiya decided to call in reinforcements — her four brothers, Muntahir, Tafseer, Shahzad, and Gulrej. Tempers flared, words were exchanged, and the argument escalated rapidly. The family quarrel reached a boiling point when Muntahir reportedly pulled out a gun and fired a shot, hitting Saadma in the stomach.
By the time police were informed, Saadma had already been admitted to GTB Hospital, where her condition was declared stable. Senior officers at the Seelampur police station reported that four individuals have been arrested in connection with the shooting, including Muntahir, who allegedly pulled the trigger.
“We are probing the matter from all angles and recording statements of the family members,” a police officer stated. “Further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of what led to this drastic action.”
