A recent exposé on social media has thrown Amazon India into the spotlight, with allegations of unfair practices in its popular giveaways. The centre of attention is a man named Chirag Gupta, who has seemingly defied the odds by winning multiple Amazon contests over the past decade.

The controversy unfolded when an X (formerly Twitter) user “@Crypt0holicpoet” highlighted Gupta's extraordinary winning streak, sparking accusations of bias and rigged giveaways.
Chirag Gupta’s latest win occurred during the Amazon Great Indian Festival, where he took home an Apple MacBook Air M1. However, what raised eyebrows was the fact that this was far from his first victory. As per evidence available on X, Gupta has won at least six separate Amazon contests since 2014, including prizes such as a fashion hamper, a OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and Amazon gift cards worth ₹1,000.
This has led many to question whether these wins are purely a matter of chance or if there's something more sinister at play.

The X user accused Amazon India of selecting winners from a predetermined insider group, claiming, “These admins are insiders. They choose winners from their friend circle and then take commission. I have been noticing it for 1 year.” The post has since gone viral, fueling a wave of customer outrage.

Social media platforms erupted with users questioning the fairness of Amazon’s giveaways. One user commented, “This guy has been winning for 10 years? Something’s not right.” Another echoed similar concerns, saying, “These contests must be rigged, or Chirag Gupta is incredibly lucky.”

Amazon India has yet to respond to the allegations, but the backlash has intensified, with customers demanding greater transparency in contest operations. If proven true, these claims could damage the e-commerce giant's reputation and erode trust in its promotional campaigns.
