Details of the threat
According to Mumbai Police, the call threatening Shah Rukh Khan came into the Bandra Police Station on November 7. The caller demanded that Khan pay Rs 50 lakh to avoid harm. In response, police officials registered a case under sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which relate to extortion involving threats of death and criminal intimidation.Preliminary investigations traced the call to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Although there is no official confirmation on the caller's identity, reports indicate that police in Raipur have been alerted and are issuing a notice to a person named Faiyaz Khan, who may be connected to the threat.
On the day of the threat, Shah Rukh Khan was spotted outside a dubbing studio in Mumbai, where he is currently working on the Hindi version of The Lion King. The actor was photographed exiting the studio just hours before the threatening call. Since the news of the threat broke, several photos and videos of him from that day have circulated on social media.
