Apple has announced the launch of a new office in Hyderabad. This one will focus on its Maps project, and will make way for up to 4,000 jobs, an Indian Express report said.

In a press statement, Cook said, “Apple is focused on making the best products and services in the world and we are thrilled to open this new office in Hyderabad which will focus on Maps development.” The CEO also lauded local talent. “The talent here in the local area is incredible and we are looking forward to expanding our relationships and introducing more universities and partners to our platforms as we scale our operations”, he said.

This new facility in the Waverock campus will offer world-class, LEED-certified services for the Maps team, the company said.
