Pakistan President Imran Khan today shocked the world by admitting that the country knew about Osama bin Laden’s presence in their territory.

Not only did Pakistan know, its top spy agency helped US to locate and execute Laden during their top-secret mission, reported Times Now.

Since US marines landed in the country and eliminated Laden in 2011, Pakistan has been claiming that they were unaware of his whereabouts. But now, Khan is altering the stance of the former government which was then led by Pervez Musharraf.

“It was ISI that gave the information which led to the location of Osama bin Laden,” said Imran Khan.

The statement broke during Khan’s interview with Fox News where he was asked if Pakistan would keep or release the doctor who helped the US in tracking bin Laden.

Al Jazeera had reported in 2015 that ISI had information on where the Al-Qaeda chief is hiding and they wanted to use him as bait.

In 2013, a leaked report from Pakistan Government said that bin Laden was seen in Pakistan in 2002, a year after the US invaded Afghanistan. However, there isn’t any evidence to prove that yet.
