IIM-A shortlisted K M Birla for the post of chairman

Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of the Aditya Birla Group has been shortlisted for the post of chairman of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Among the other people nominated for the post are HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh and Infosys Chairman R Seshasayee as well. The names have been forwarded to the ministry for approval, a top official told the Economic Times.

In January this year, L&T Chairman AM Naik who was earlier holding this post had stepped down. In March, the institute had named Cadila Healthcare Chairman Pankaj Patel as interim chairman.
