If you have booked a Mumbai flight, here’s why it is going to delayed or even cancelled

If you are travelling to Mumbai or from Mumbai, be prepared to face reschedules and cancellations as Mumbai airport is undergoing repair work.

More than 2,000 Mumbai flights will be cancelled and rescheduled from October 18 to November end, as two runways of the Mumbai airport will be shut for several hours every day for repair work.

The main runway will be shut between 12 pm and 4 pm, except Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

You are going to face a miserable time on Oct--18, 19, 22, 23, 25, 26, 29 and 30 and November 1, 2, 5,6, 8,9,12.

Additionally, from November, both runways will be closed from 12 pm-5 pm every Monday and Thursday, which means that only on Fridays in November will both runways be operational all day.

"In light of the forthcoming closure of the Mumbai airport runway with effect from October 18 until end-November, Jet Airways has revised its flight schedules for some of its flights arriving into/ departing from Mumbai. Our contact centre is taking proactive steps to keep guests updated of revised timings and re-accommodation on alternate flights where necessary, via SMS or phone calls," said Jet Airways.
