In a recent press release made on its official website, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), has confirmed the date of release of the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) results. As per the board’s announcement, the candidates can check their results online on the board’s official portal on May 07, 2019. The link will be activated around 3:00 pm. Visit the cisce.org. website around this time to land on your results. In order to check your results, you must have your admit card or hall ticket ready with you as the site will ask you to input some details you find on the admit card like UID number and Index number. The good news is the students of class 10 and 12 can see their results declared on the same day (May 7, 2019) at the same time (around 3 pm).

The CISCE conducted the class 10 exams from 22 February 2019 to 25 March 2019. During last year, the board announced the ICSE results on May 14, 2018. However, the results declaration is advanced by a week’s time during this academic year.

In addition to publishing the results on its official portal cisce.org, the board is also extending a facility for the students to get their results via SMS. To get an SMS with your marks and results, you have to type ICSE or ISC depending on whether you took class 10 or class 12 exams. This must be followed by the seven-digit unique ID number. Send this short message to 09248082883. You will get a text message alert on the mobile number from which you sent the above SMS.

To be declared as ‘Pass’ in the ICSE exams (class 10), students need to get 33 marks in each of the subjects they appeared. Also, the aggregate percentage must be 33 and above. In the ISC segment (class 12), the passing minimum is 40 percent both in individual subjects and in the aggregate marks.

During last year, the CISCE board announced the ICSE results on May 14, 2018. The board’s statistics said about 98.51 percentage of candidates cleared the ICSE (class 10) exams while 96.21 percentage of students passed the ISC (class 12) exams. There was a decline in the pass percentage last year when compared with the pass percentage of candidates in 2017. In the year 2017, 99.50 percent students cleared the ICSE (class 10) exams and 98.42 percent students passed in the ISC (class 12) exams.

In the ICSE and ISC exams in 2018, girls topped boys in terms of overall score. A total number of 80,880 candidates took the exams and 64 students got more than 99 percent in aggregate marks. Swayam Das from Mumbai emerged as the topper in 2018 ICSE exams by scoring 99.40 percent marks. Two candidates namely Jasmine Kaul Chahal from Jalandhar and Anokhi Amit Mehta from Mumbai shared the second position by scoring 99.20 per cent. The third position was bagged by 12 candidates across the country.
