IBM employee strangulated to death in Bengaluru, accused arrested

An IBM employee, working in Bengaluru, was found murdered in her flat in Kadugodi.
According to the Bengaluru police, techie Kusuma Singla, 31, was strangled with a laptop cord by a man she became friends with on social media and met for the first time.
She was found dead in a pool of blood by her flatmate. The assailant, Sukhbir Singh, has been arrested from Haryana.
Singla, who moved from Noida to Bengaluru six months ago, met Singh on social media three months ago.
The police said Singla had invited Singh home on Tuesday, but when he visited, he wanted to borrow money from her.
Police informed that Singh had asked for Rs. 50,000 and later was ready to settle for 5,000. When Singla refused to pay, Singh Sukhbir her to death.
