Hyperloop One launches 'Vision for India' where travel time from Bengaluru to Chennai could become 20 mins if executed

Hyperloop Technologies which is building a super-fast transportation alternative solution inspired by an idea of Tesla's Elon Musk is in initial talks with the Indian government and companies to partially build and operate the vehicle on some routes, the company announced at an event in New Delhi.
India has the world’s second-biggest population and, is struggling to match infrastructure requirements with rapid population growth.
According to reports, PM Narendra Modi has plans to spend a record 3.96 trillion rupees ($59 billion) to build and modernize its railways, airports, and roads, as the country seeks to improve its facilities to attract companies to invest in the country.
The Los Angeles-based company, which is known as Hyperloop One, will decide shortly whether it can run the vehicle in India after studying the market, Rob Llyod, CEO, Hyperloop One said at the event.

"We want to align the stakeholders to actually find a route that makes sense, to do the detailed engineering, do the work on financing that route, think about a public-private partnership," said Llyod.

Hyperloop is a new way to move people and things at airline speeds for the price of a bus ticket. It's on-demand, energy-efficient and safe.

The company tested its first propulsion motor in May 2016 and will test the full system in 2017 in Nevada, USA.Hyperloop One routes, if executed could look like this for India:
1. New Delhi to Mumbai via Jaipur and Indore: 55 mins
2. Mumbai to Chennai: 60 mins
3. Bengaluru to Thiruvananthapuram: 40 mins 4. Bengaluru to Chennai: 20 mins
