In the last few months, several apps have rolled out dark mode for their applications. Gmail, Messenger and Google Chrome are some such apps. WhatsApp is also working on adding dark mode to its app and this was spotted in a beta version.
Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram in a tweet had mentioned that dark mode is being rolled out for iOS 13 and Android 10 users. The tweet was later removed for some reason, but you can still get dark mode for Instagram on your device.
How to enable dark mode for Instagram on Android -
Dark mode for Instagram is currently available only for Android 10 users.
- Go to your phone’s settings.
- Scroll down and tap on ‘Display’.
- Now, enable ‘Dark theme’ from the options available.
- Then, launch Instagram and dark mode will be enabled automatically.
If you are on iOS 13, you can enable dark mode for Instagram by following the steps below:
- Go to your phone’s settings.
- Now, select ‘Display and brightness’.
- Tap on ‘Dark’ to change your phone’s theme.
- Now, launch Instagram and dark mode will be enabled automatically.
