Setting up an official Twitter account for business or personal use is an easy process - even though it may seem daunting at first.
Twitter provides a registration and onboarding wizard to guide you through each step that must be completed. You can even skip some sections and return to them later.
How to set up a Twitter account for business or personal use
Visit twitter.com or download the Twitter app, and click Sign Up to get started. The registration wizard will guide you through the process. The registration is a five-part process, but not all information is required to complete account setup.
How to register your Twitter account
1. In the first screen, you'll enter a name for your account as well as your birthdate and a phone number or email address. The name you enter will become your account username, commonly referred to as a handle or username - which you can always change. The birthdate and phone number (or email) will be kept private. Click Next to continue.
