How to download videos from Twitter

Twitter has made no secret about the fact that they’re increasing the amount of video content on the social networking platform. Brands and users alike are uploading more videos each day.

Watching the videos on Twitter itself and sharing the link with friends is easy enough but when it comes to downloading the video from Twitter onto your PC — there’s no obvious button to click that will make it happen automatically. But, that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible.

Regardless of whether you’re using a smartphone or a PC, it’s likely that you have access to Google’s Chrome browser. Using Twitter and Twitter Video Downloader, here’s how you can download videos from the platform.


1. Go to Twitter.com or open the Twitter on your smartphone. You don’t necessarily need to log in.

2. Find the video that you wish to download and tap the top right corner of the tweet for more options and select ‘Copy link to tweet’.



3. Open a new tab on Google Chrome to go to Twitter Video Downloader.

4. Paste the URL in the input box on the screen and click download.



5. The site will process the video from Twitter and redirect you to a new page where you will have the option to download the video in different video qualities.



6. Right click on the quality that you would like to download your video in, and right-click to select ‘Save link as’.

7. An MP4 file will be downloaded onto your PC or smartphone where you can find it in the file manager.
