  • You can download many popular Galaxy S10 keyboards from the Google Play store, though you need to enable a keyboard before you can use it on your phone.
  • You can easily change the default keyboard while you're typing from the keyboard itself if you enable that option in the S10's Settings app.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

One of the strengths of the Android operating system is that it's so easy to customize.

Case in point: If you aren't a fan of your Galaxy S10's default on-screen keyboard, it's easy to change.

The phone comes with one alternative keyboard built in - the Samsung Keyboard Neural - but you can install additional keyboards from the Google Play store and use them as well.

You can install as many keyboards as you like, and switch among them with a couple of taps.

4. On the Select keyboard screen, tap the keyboard you want to make your default. If you don't see the keyboard in the list, make sure that you have enabled the keyboard first.

If you want to be able to easily change keyboards while you are typing, turn on "Show keyboard button" at the bottom of the Select keyboard screen. When that is enabled, you can tap the small keyboard button at the bottom right of the keyboard to select a different keyboard.

Be sure to enable the keyboard button, so you can get to your list of available keyboards right from the keyboard itself.Dave Johnson/Business Insider
