  • You can add a wireless printer to your iPhone with just a few quick taps to print photos, emails, spreadsheets, and other documents.
  • The AirPrint feature makes wireless printing from iPhone easy, without any other software required.
  • Wireless printers that do not support AirPrint can usually still be used remotely when you download the right app to your phone.

Wireless printing is one of the coolest, most convenient functions offered by an iPhone. Without ever getting up from your desk or couch, you can print out pictures, webpages, emails, documents, and more; once your phone and printer are properly configured, all wireless printing requires are a few quick taps on the screen.

If you have a printer that supports AirPrint, then printing from an iPhone is a walk in the park - and these days, many printers offer AiPrint compatibility. If your printer doesn't recognize AirPrint but does have Wi-Fi print capabilities, you'll still probably be able to print remotely from a phone using an associated third-party app.

How to add an AirPrint printer to an iPhone and print from it

1. Make sure both the printer and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

2. Open the file (picture, note, etc.) to be printed on your iPhone.

2. Download the app associated with your printer; it should be named in the literature that came with the printer, or you can find it through a quick Google search.

3. Launch the app, then go to its settings to configure the printer.

4. Now open your iPhone's Settings app and go to the Wi-Fi tab.

5. Locate the printer under the words "CHOOSE A NETWORK" and select it.

You should now be able to print wirelessly using the printer's app. Just remember to switch back to your actual preferred Wi-Fi network once you have printed, so you can use your phone normally.
