How do I recover deleted Safari history on Iphone

The users of iOS devices and Mac computers are highly dependent on Safari as their browser. Safari is known to store the browsing history and hence it is easy for the user to pick up from where they left. If you have accidentally deleted the browsing history from Safari on your iPhone or iPad, it is possible to recover it using the following simple steps.

Recover browsing history from settings

Go to settings on your iPhone or iPad.

Scroll down the list and then locate Safari. Tap on the icon.

Once you land on the safari page, scroll down to the bottom and tap on ‘Advanced Option’.

This will take you to the next screen and you will find website data. Tap on this link and you will find your deleted browser history on this page.

View detailed Safari browsing history using iTunes backup

If you have got iTunes installed on your iPhone and if your phone has been backed up to iPhone regularly, you can restore the backup to get the detailed Safari browsing history.

Open iTunes and click on the iPhone icon. Then select Restore Backup.

Choose the backup file that contains your deleted Safari history. Click on the button Restore.

You must perform this step carefully for the following reason. Restoring a backup can even lead to data loss since the data in the backup will replace all the data on the device permanently. Hence if you have not backed up anything, they will be overwritten.
