Here's the trick to getting one of Starbucks' most popular seasonal items early

It's September, which means pumpkin spice latte season is rapidly approaching.

For those who cannot wait to get their hands on Starbucks' signature fall drink, Eater has outlined a way for fans to procure a latte ASAP.

Diehard pumpkin spice latte fans just have to go to a pass generator, courtesy of Starbucks and Tumblr (which you can get to by clicking here). Then fans simply have to type in the password - which Eater says is "pumpkin." (We tried - it works!)

You'll see this screen pop up:

Then you just have to type in your phone number.

As described in the image, Starbucks will then text you a pass, which you can show your barista - and voila! You've received a pumpkin spice latte early.

This year, Starbucks is debuting a new version of the famous latte, which features real pumpkin spice. Last year, Starbucks fans were furious when they learned that the latte did not contain real pumpkin.

The latte officially returns to stores on September 8, according to NBC.
