Both the Sensex and the Nifty trade flat on Monday, also the last trading day of August. Action is limited and traders are refraining from making strong commitments on either side of prices. Here is a snap shot of what's happening in the market in afternoon trade.

Nifty rose 17 points to 8,018 levels
