Here's how you could live rent-free in Buckingham Palace
The royal household is hiring a housekeeping assistant - and in return for cleaning and maintaining the Palace, you get to stay there for free.
The housekeeper will "clean and care for interiors and items from carpets and furniture to historic vases and irreplaceable paintings" for five days per week, according to the job listing.
The successful applicant will also have all of their meals provided, along with 33 days of holiday (including bank holidays), and the option to contribute a percentage of their salary to a flexible pension scheme.
The only downside is the pay - because it is a live-in position, the job pays an annual salary of just £16,755, which isn't a lot if you live in London.
And in addition to dusting heavy chandeliers and Canaletto paintings, the housekeeper must "take care of guests and support special events" and meet "demanding deadlines."
Though housekeeping experience isn't even necessary to get the job. While it "would be an asset," the job description emphasises that it's more important for an applicant to have "outstanding team working" and "excellent communication skills."
Those interested in the position have until September 18 to apply on the Royal Household website.
