The First 100 Campout will give 100 people the opportunity to win free Chick-fil-A for a year (52 meals), according to a release.
On Friday, October 2, beginning at 5:30, fans will line up outside the new location in Manhattan's midtown district on 6th Avenue between 37th and 38th street.
At 6 p.m., a drawing will select who the "First 100" will be - those lucky 100 will get to dine on Chick-fil-A's dollar for a year.
But there's a catch: they will have to campout until the store opens its doors.
At 8 p.m., the First 100 will recieve a Chick-fil-A dinner, and at 9 p.m. they'll get a yet-to-be-disclosed surprise. They will watch a movie at 10:30.
There's a wakeup call at 5:00 a.m. the next day, followed by a ceremony awarding the 100 winners at 6 a.m.
Chick-fil-A anticipates a massive turnout for its grand opening, and this is just one way to ramp up even more excitement.
It's not surprising; the chain was named the most-loved restaurant by the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2015 Restaurant Survey this summer.
