Here’s how companies hire B.Tech, MBA students during campus placements in Tier I, II and III cities. Here are the salaries they offer

Organisations have become quite smart during campus placements. They hire with a positive, yet a cautious approach, looking for the right mix of talent.

Hiring in different institutes from Tier I, II and III cities is quite different. The organisations are looking for a balanced approach while hiring.

As per the sixth edition of the Aon Campus Study 2016, which surveyed 300 companies across seven industries to understand their campus strategies across tiers for 2016-17, stated nowadays companies, while offering campus compensation, reduce fixed component and become aggressive in the ‘Pay in Risk’ and/or Joining Bonus component.

As per the study, while the number of campus hires in 2017 is expected to go up or be similar by 84% of the organisations, the number of hires from Tier 1 institutes has seen a dip of 2% for MBA.

The companies are working towards a balanced approach and also focussing on hiring Tier II and Tier III graduates.

The overall campus compensation packages witnessed an increase of 6.9% and 8% for MBA and B.Tech, respectively.
