The Nifty and the Sensex were unable to hold on to their early morning gains on Tuesday even as losses were minor on benchmarks and sector specific indices. Action on the long side was concentrated on defensive shares such as FMCG and pharma while mid caps dominated trade on the futures and options market. Here is a snapshot of what is happening in the derivatives space before noon.
