The accident required Pierre-Paul to have his right index finger and part of his thumb amputated. There was also extensive damage to the rest of his hand.

Despite the damage, Pierre-Paul is convinced that he can still be an effective defensive end and this week he signed an incentive-laden contract.

There is hope that he will be ready to play in games in 2-4 weeks.

On Friday, Pierre-Paul met with the media and in doing so, we got our best look yet at just how severe the damage was to his hand.

In addition to the loss of his index finger and part of his thumb, we also get a good look at his other fingers and it appears that they all have suffered damage to varying degrees.
