The Philadelphia Federal Reserve's Business Outlook is set for release at 8:30 a.m. ET.

Economists estimate that the headline index improved to -1.5 for March from a reading of -2.8 in the prior period, according to Bloomberg.

This level would still indicate contracting activity.

The regional report will also include information on manufacturing activity. This month's special question is on manufacturers' capital expenditure plans.
