It's jobs day in America.

At 8:30 a.m. ET, the Bureau of Labor Statistics will release data on the November employment situation.

Economists estimate, according to Bloomberg, that the data would show the US economy added 200,000 jobs last month, while the unemployment rate was unchanged at 5% - a seven-year low.

For wages, they forecast that average hourly earnings grew 0.2% month-on-month, and 2.3% year-on-year.

They also expect that if the nonfarm payrolls print is not disastrously below expectations, the Federal Reserve would go ahead and raise its benchmark rate at its meeting in about two weeks.

This, then, would intensify the debate and forecasts about the pace of interest rate hikes, as the Fed continues ease monetary policy.
