Here Comes The Empire State Manufacturing Survey...

At 8:30 a.m. ET, the New York Fed will release the results of its lates Empire State Manufacturing Survey.

Economists estimate that the headline number climbed to 5.0 from -2.2 in November.
"This would reflect, in part, our view that manufacturing employment will pick up through the end of 2013 and into 2014 as stronger demand provides a tailwind for hiring," said Barclays.
