Expectations are for prices to fall 0.1% month-on-month in October, but "core" PPI, which excludes food and energy, is expected to rise 0.1%.
Last month, prices unexpectedly fell 0.1% but were flat when excluding food and energy. Expectations last month were for a 0.1% rise for both readings.
On a year-over-year basis, producer prices in October are expected to rise 1.3%, and 1.5% on a "core" basis.
