Economists estimate pending sales climbed 1.0% month-over-month or 2.2% year-over-year.
"Pending home sales, which track signed contracts, are a good leading indicator of existing sales, but are much more noisy," Bank of America Merrill Lynch economists said. "In general, the recent trend has been one of improvement after the setback in the second half of last year."
