Economists predict the index rose to 52.0 in July from 50.9 in June, suggesting an accelerating pace of growth in the American manufacturing sector in July.
A rise to 52.0 would confirm Markit's U.S. PMI report out this morning, which also showed acceleration in American manufacturing last month.
