The National Association of Homebuilders will release its housing market index at 10 a.m. ET.
Economists forecast that the gauge of homebuilder sentiment was unchanged at 60, according to Bloomberg.
That's the highest level the index has climbed to this year. Robert Dietz, NAHB chief economist said in last month's release said the measure of future sales expectations was at the best level in eight months, suggesting that sales should continue to be strong in the second half of this year.
To compile the index, the NAHB surveys its members on how they rate the current sale of new homes, as well as their outlook for sales and buyer traffic.
