Economists estimate that the fourth quarter grew by 2.2% quarter-over-quarter, according to the Bloomberg consensus.
According to the Commerce Department's third quarter estimate, the US economy grew by 3.5% in the third quarter, stronger than was previously reported.
That was the final report on third-quarter GDP until annual revisions are published in 2017.
