Here comes Faraday Future's new electric car
The startup first landed on the auto industry's radar last year, when the company opened an office in southern California, and started hiring a bevy of auto and tech industry talent from places like Tesla, Ford, GM, BMW and SpaceX.
Since then, FF representatives have been nearly silent on some key details about its plans.
We know that FF has a car in the works, and that the company is aiming to build on technology that is currently disrupting the transportation space.
As Business Insider's transportation editor Matt DeBord suggested recently, the startup "might be aiming to develop of a mobility platform of some sort," DeBord noted that the platform could be built around a "car-sharing scheme that would combine the best of Tesla and the electric-car revolution with Uber and the advance of on-demand transportation."
Faraday Future has teased its forthcoming vehicle during the past week, and tonight in Vegas, we will finally see it firsthand. Business Insider's transportation reporter, Ben Zhang is there to catch all the details. Check back for updates.
