The latest reading on the consumer price index (CPI) will cross the tape at 8:30 a.m. ET.

Economists expect that the reading of inflation registered a 0.2% gain for the month November from the month before, and a 1.7% gain from the same month last year.

As for the core index - which strips out volatile energy and food prices - economists expect a reading of 0.2% month-over-month and 2.2% from the year before.

We'll have the number as it crosses, so stick here for updates.
