Economists forecast that the index of consumer sentiment rose to 87.9 from a two-year low of 87.2 in October, according to Bloomberg.
Consumers said they became more pessimistic about the economy, and half of them anticipated a downturn within the next five years.
Some people were anxious about the presidential election. That process is done with, but going forward, it would be interesting to see whether consumers leave those worries behind or continue to show concern based on the outcome.
