The final January reading of consumer confidence from the University of Michigan is expected out at 10 a.m. ET.

The reading on US consumer's outlook is expected to be 98.1 according to economists, this would be steady from the initital reading ealrier in the month.

This would be a slight decrease from December's final reading of 98.1.

Consumer confidence has surged in the wake of the US election, as improved outlooks for growth and jobs have bolstered the index.
