Here Comes Case-Shiller Home Prices

The S&P Case-Shiller home price index for August is out at 9 a.m. ET.

Economists polled by Bloomberg are looking for the 20-city index to rise 0.65% on the month, compared with a 0.62% rise in July.

Meanwhile, on the year, home prices are expected to rise 12.5%, compared with a 12.39% rise in July.

Analysts have warned for some time that the pace of home price growth is unsustainable and would slow.
